Meet Anna

Women and girls face enormous pressure to be “perfect.” This pressure often creates feelings of anxiety, low self-esteem, difficulty connecting with others and blocks in creativity and passion.

Women and girls face enormous pressure to be “perfect.” This pressure often creates feelings of anxiety, low self-esteem, difficulty connecting with others and blocks in creativity and passion. Teens and preteens face even more pressure as they struggle to prove their worth and find their way in an increasingly competitive world.

I help my patients uncover their feelings and identify the patterns that keep them stuck so that they can feel more at peace and more empowered. In turn, this builds the confidence for them to pursue what feels good to them rather than what feels expected. For kids, this can also look like unpacking the feelings of anxiety and pressure that hold them back and guiding them towards more joyful experiences of themselves and their lives.

I also specialize in working with former and current members of the Mormon church. For individuals struggling with their mental health, or going through a faith transition, therapy can provide support in a nonjudgmental and confidential space. If you’ve left the Mormon church you may have had the painful experience of losing family, friends and meaningful tradition. Leaving any high demand religion can make you feel lost and unsure of who you are. I work to help my clients move through this transition and move towards getting in touch with their most raw and authentic selves. I take a non-shaming approach to helping my clients explore their beliefs and feelings so they can build a life that feels safe and fulfilling with or without religion.
